Cochin gynecological endoscopic training center provides high quality individualized hands on training programs for gynecologists, theatre nurses and technicians round the year on a personal tutorial basis.

The training program started in 1989 and since then trained more than 800 gynecologists. The center is approved by Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological society of India for endoscopic training.

Center provides basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery skills depending on the level of experience of the candidates.

Only 4 candidates are taken in a batch and duration of course is for 2 weeks.

Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgeries will be demonstrated. Average 3-4 surgeries per day will be demonstrated from Monday to Friday.
Surgery for ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, myomectomy, adhesiolysis, total lap hysterectomy, Burch’ colposupension, laparoscopic tubal surgeries including laparoscopic tubal anastomosis. Laparoscopic presacral neurectomy, Hysteroscopic septum incision, Hysteroscopic myomectomy, endometrial ablation etc.
Approximately 25-35 cases in two weeks. Type of cases depends on availability.

Will be able to assist surgery in turn. Can introduce Verres needle, trocars and secondary instrument independently. It is also possible to get a feel of surgery in simple cases.

Detailed lectures on equipments and electrosurgery

Pelvitrainer and video endoscope is available for practice everyday. Different types of endo-suturing will be taught on the pelvitrainer in a choreographed technique.

Multimedia CD ROMs, Teaching videocassettes, unedited video recordings are available for learning.

Use of diathermy will be taught on specimens.

Collections of reference books on endoscopy are available in the center.

You can bring patients for endoscopic surgery.
